Dr.
Benedict Maniscalco has been in
the private practice of medicine,
specializing in cardiovascular
diseases since 1976. He is proud
to serve the key leadership position
as the Chairman and CEO of Heartbeat
International.
Dr. Maniscalco continues his practice
of preventive and consultative
cardiology, in addition to serving
as medical advisor to multiple
companies involved in medically
related business.
He is regarded as an opinion leader,
innovator, and educator in cardiovascular
medicine. He has served the American
College of Cardiology at the local,
state, and national level in leadership
roles which have directly influenced
health care policy.
Dr.
Maniscalco is a graduate of Duke
University School of Medicine
and obtained his post graduate
training in Internal Medicine and
Cardiovascular Disease at Emory
University affiliated hospitals.
After leaving a faculty position
at the University of South Florida
School of Medicine, he founded
the St. Joseph’s Heart Institution
in Tampa, FL.
He is a member
of the American Medical Association,
American Heart
Association and a fellow of the
American Heart Association, the
American College of Cardiology,
the American College of Physicians,
the American College of Chest Physicians,
and the Society for Cardiac Angioplasty.

Albert
Salem is a Board Certified Business
Law attorney who has practiced
law in Florida since 1963 and
has proudly served in his current
executive role of Vice Chairman
and an Executive Officer of Heartbeat
International Foundation, Inc.
since 2002.
Albert brings
a trusted and much needed legal
perspective to the
Heartbeat International Executive
Committee. Critical to the domestic
and international business interests
of Heartbeat International Foundation,
Inc., Albert’s expertise
is a vital component to ensuring
that all legal interests of Heartbeat
are properly represented.
Leveraging
Albert’s diverse
background, starting with his early
military career in the United States
Air Force to his extensive background
in Law and Real Estate lending,
he brings a broad knowledge base
to Heartbeat and continues to play
a vital role in the continuance
of the organization’s mission.
Albert
is currently the Executive Chairman
and CEO of First Commercial
Bank of Tampa Bay, a 20 year old
community bank he helped found
in 1989.
Albert attended Georgetown
University and the University of
North Carolina
in Chapel Hill, N.C., where he
earned his Bachelor's and Juris
Doctor Degrees. Albert resides
with his family in Tampa, Florida
and
is
proud to be a resident of the Tampa
Bay community for over 40 years.

Basha
has been involved in one of the
first Pacemaker Banks which was
established in Trinidad & Tobago
(T&T) in 1985.
Basha
was appointed as a member of
the Board of Directors of Heartbeat
International in 2006 with responsibilities
for the Caribbean, and as Heartbeat
International Treasurer in 2007.
In 2008, at the request of Board
of Directors, Basha established
and is operating a Regional Distribution
Centre of Heartbeat International
in T&T. He is also exploring
the possibilities of establishing
a Caribbean Pacemaker Bank.
Privately, Basha is a trained
Management Accountant. He is
the Governing Director of BSM
Family Company Limited; Director
of Caribbean Housing Limited
and Westmoorings Limited, all
T&T Corporations. He specializes
in Private Real Estate Development
with some forty (40) years experience
in the Industry.
Basha is
a member and past President of
the Rotary Club of St. Augustine;
and a member of the Cadre of Technical
Advisors and registered Volunteer
of the Rotary Foundation of Rotary
International.

Ash
brings a strong International business
background acting as Regional Director,
Eastern Hemisphere for Heartbeat
International. His vast experience
in International operations comes
from his prior experience of being
the founder and owner of a successful
textile company, consisting of
manufacturing plants located in
6 Countries in Far East and Indian
Subcontinent. Ash also own and
operates call centers throughout
the Indian Subcontinent and Caribbean.
In
addition, Ash has operated an
International consulting company
aiding major corporations in establishing
relationships in numerous countries
worldwide. He has also had the
privilege of participating with
being nominated for key leadership
positions on several US and Caribbean
companies related to the travel & telecom
industries. Currently, in addition
to the current Board nominated
position with Heartbeat International,
Ash is proud to also serve on the
Board of Sky Express International
Airlines.
Ash is a
graduate of Georgia State University
with a Business degree.
He resides in Atlanta, GA.

Arthur
Noriega is an international senior
level executive with extensive
background holding key leadership
and executive positions with a
diverse group of interests.
Serving
as Regional Director, Western
Hemisphere, for Heartbeat
International, Arthur’s high
degree of international business
acumen has been levered and benefited
Heartbeat in many aspects.
With
a strong background and key relationships
in pharmaceutical,
international distribution operations,
health care and engineering management,
Arthur’s business insight
allows Heartbeat to have a strong
voice for best practices for Heartbeat’s
International presence.
Art
is looked upon for his expert
consultation in all matters as
it relates to international business,
worldwide marketing & sales
and distribution operations.
Art
has served on Board of directors
and Five Member Executive Committee.
Art is a graduate of University
of Tampa and obtained his post
graduate degree at the University
of Mississippi. Art resides in
with his family in Anna Maria,
FL.

Blake
brings a key perspective in the
world of cardiac developments to
the leadership team of Heartbeat
International. Founder and principal
of the Pacemaker Club, an online
community for pacemaker recipients
around the world providing moral
support and information in the
diagnosis and management of cardiac
arrhythmia, Blake’s personal
story delivers a much needed insider’s
perspective.
As a child Blake had two open
heart surgeries and received his
first pacemaker implant at age
nine. Blake provides the insight
and perspective from the end users
point of view which is invaluable
to leadership dialogue of Heartbeat
International. Blake is a true
champion for all matters as it
relates to cardiac arrhythmia developments.
Blake
is a graduate of University of
New Brunswick with a degree
in Business Administration. Blake
resides in New Brunswick, Canada.

Sandra
is an Advanced Practice Nurse,
currently working in private
practice in cardiology with Dr.
Benedict Maniscalco.
She is a Fellow of the American
Heart Association, Fellow of the
National Lipid Association, has
served two terms as the Chair for
Development Committee for the AHA
Council on Cardiovascular Nursing,
Chair for the Strategic Development
Committee and Board of Directors
for Heartbeat International, and
Southeast Lipid Association. She
also served on the Board for Florida
Lipid Foundation. She Chaired the
Host City Reception Committee for
the AHA, is President of the Central
FL Chapter Preventive Cardiovascular
Nurses Association (PCNA). She
was also recently nominated as
the 2008 Nurse of the Year given
by the South Tampa Chamber of Commerce.
She also is a Clinical Lipid Specialist.
With
25 years of experience, she brings
considerable knowledge to
the several CE programs, training
sessions, and abstract/poster presentations
in which she has participated.
Ms. Kreul has extensive training
in advance lipids, cardiology,
hypertension, coronary calcium
scoring, EKG, critical care, and
respiratory therapy. Most recently,
she became board certified as Clinical
Lipid Specialist She is also co-author
for article published in Circulation
March 2004, “Initial Low
Density-Lipoprotein Response to
Statin Therapy Predicts Subsequent
Low Density-Lipoprotein Response
to the Addition of Ezetimibe.”
Sandra
graduated with a BSN from Florida
International University
in Davie, Florida, and went on
to earn her MSN and ARNP from Florida
International University in North
Miami Beach, Florida. Sandra is
a member of the American Heart
Association, FLF, SELA, PCNA, FNA,
AANP, NLA and ANA. Sandra resides
in Valrico, FL.
