Heartbeat International is proud to announce its Heart-Maker Internship Program.
Interns gain practical work experience in facets of administration, development, communications and marketing, as well as a basic introduction to the world of non-profit and humanitarian aid. All internships will take place in our Tampa, Florida world headquarters. There will be three internship terms each year.
Interested individuals are required to submit a resume along with a letter of interest. Candidates will be selected on the basis of merit. Internship applications are accepted on a rolling basis (see program schedule for submission dates).
Each internship position will focus on support of a work specific task. Tasks include the following: Administration, Development, Communications and Marketing.
Internships are paid and in some cases, hours worked may be applied towards school credit and/or community service requirements. A minimum time commitment of at least 20 hours per week is required for all internships.
Internship Positions:
Summer 2007:
- Marketing
Seeking person possessing marketing and/or public relations skills. Hours are flexible. Spanish speaking skills a bonus but not a requisite. General duties require working with leadership in developing and executing marketing and PR plan to increase local awareness of Heartbeat International; assisting in promotion of annual international wine tasting and auction fundraising event.
