With each new year, comes new challenges. Are you up for the fight? We are! Join our crusade in the ongoing fight against treatable heart disease and Jumpstart-a-Heart today! Everyday around the globe millions of people are dying needlessly from treatable heart diseases because they are too poor to afford a pacemaker and implant surgery. Learn how our life-saving pacemaker program is making a difference around the world and how you can help. Watch our informative "HEALTH FORUM" video, share in the heartfelt stories of our many patients (even some who are featured in our website masthead), and feel the power of LIFE.

Hear how it all began and how the pacemaker program works. Witness the amazing story of Jorge Juarez L., a young pacemaker recipient whose pacemaker twice-saved his life by shielding his heart from a stray bullet of a wild gunman!

What's New?

Heartbeat International's new Pacemaker Bank model is officially underway. Redesigned to essentially equalize supply and demand, the new model begins the process of transforming the vision of CEO Benedict Maniscalco, MD, into reality, positioning Heartbeat International and its life-saving pacemaker program for greater success and stabilization well into the future.

"Simply put, Heartbeat International's pacemaker program outgrew its original model and as a result, demanded it be retooled to maximize usage of pacing donations that fortunately have seen a steady increase each year," states Wil Mick, COO of Heartbeat International. Understanding that the answer to what appeared to be a good problem was simple on paper but challenging in practice, Heartbeat International's Board of Directors issued an Executive Order initiating the Pacemaker Bank Model Expansion Project. While the core element of the initial model remains intact, both organic and non-organic expansion strategies have been added to support the organization's efforts to capitalize on worldwide demand and need of pacing therapies for the indigent and ill.
